Meet our Ministry Team

  • Pastor Barry & Susan Jackson

    Barry Jackson is senior pastor of Christian Fellowship Church of the Rio Grande Valley located in Harlingen, Texas. Barry is known as "Brother Barry"No one seems to enjoy life as much as he does. A gifted preacher and homespun storyteller, Barry weaves his life experiences with great humor and Biblical insight into every message.

    Susan Jackson has a heart for prayer and the women's ministry "Women of Worth". She also runs a "Ministry and Mentoring" group for the new generation of women leaders in our church.

    Barry and his wife, Susan, founded “Liberty Ministries”, a home for troubled boys and girls. For over twenty years, they devoted their lives to helping troubled young people find Godly direction.

  • Gary & Katarina Kerney

    Gary studied at Moody Bible Institute and has been working in youth ministry for the last eleven years. His heart for the young people in Harlingen is to help them develop a close and passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. Gary started ministering to High Schoolers at CFC Harlingen in February 2012. Katarina studied Communication Design at Texas State University, and has a love for art and design. Her passions are painting, graphic design, web design, and performing arts; All of which she integrates into different ministries at CFC.  

  • Elton & Sandra Jackson

    Elton is CFC's Facility Administrator. He enjoys volunteering with the Men's Ministry. One of Elton's gifts is sharing his encouraging words and testimony. He and his wife Sandra have a passion for serving the church community.

  • David & Sylvia Flores

    David and Sylvia have always had a passion for music and a desire to lead people into worship. In Sylvia's spare time, she loves writing songs and playing music on the piano. She is a graduate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where she majored in Music Education. David not only helps in the office, he also is our Media Director. You may sometimes see him with a camera in hand. David and Sylvia have a son named James Anthony Flores. They all have a heart for service and fellowship here at CFC.

  • Dale & Laura LeMarr

    The LeMarr family has been a part of CFC since 1997. During that time they have served in many areas of ministry including Life Group leaders for 14 years, joined the Worship Team in 1998, and have been a part of Children's Ministry since 2003. Dale and Laura have always had a heart for kids and a desire to help them grow, learn, and be successful. To be able to teach Christ and how to live in His blessings everyday is a joy and privilege. Dale and his wife Laura are teachers with a combined experience of 50+ years. They have been married for 28 years and have 2 beautiful daughters. 

  • Claria Buddle

    Claria has attended CFC her whole life and has been leading worship here since 2013. She graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where she majored in Creative Writing and minored in Music. Claria is passionate about seeing people encounter God in a way that changes their entire way of living, and seeing miracles happen during worship.

  • Carl Lynn Johnson

    Carl started attending CFC when he was 12 years old. He has helped in the children's ministries and teenage ministries during all of those years. He is a graduate of Texas A&M and currently is working as a math teacher in the public school system.
