Meet our Ministry Team

  • Pastor Barry & Susan Jackson

    Barry Jackson is senior pastor of Christian Fellowship Church of the Rio Grande Valley located in Harlingen, Texas. Barry is known as "Brother Barry"No one seems to enjoy life as much as he does. A gifted preacher and homespun storyteller, Barry weaves his life experiences with great humor and Biblical insight into every message.

    Susan Jackson has a heart for prayer and the women's ministry "Women of Worth". She also runs a "Ministry and Mentoring" group for the new generation of women leaders in our church.

    Barry and his wife, Susan, founded “Liberty Ministries”, a home for troubled boys and girls. For over twenty years, they devoted their lives to helping troubled young people find Godly direction.

  • David & Heather Silva

    The Silvas have been a part of CFC for many years. Before they got married at CFC, their parents volunteered and worked on staff underneath founder Ron Cozine. David and Heather have served in the church in many different capacities from running CFC's Nursery to being part of the worship team. David works at Channel 5 and you can find him leading worship on stage every Sunday; and when Heather is not keeping things running in the office, she actively participates in raising awareness for CHD (Congenital Heart Defects).  

  • Gary & Katarina Kerney

    Gary and Katarina are newly weds. Gary studied at Moody Bible Institute and has been working in youth ministry for the last eleven years. His heart for the young people in Harlingen is to help them develop a close and passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. Gary started ministering to High Schoolers at CFC Harlingen in February 2012. Katarina studied Communication Design at Texas State University, and has a love for art and design. Her passions are painting, graphic design, web design, and performing arts; All of which she integrates into different ministries at CFC.  On their days off, Gary often finds himself outdoors surfing, fishing or hunting. Katarina finds herself teaching dance at RGVAS, and creating new art. •

  • Ian & Janelle Salazar

    Ian was born and raised a member of CFC Harlingen. He came on staff at CFC Harlingen after attending a ministry internship at Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is passionate about helping people discover a real relationship with the living God. He enjoys technology and working with media. Ian graduated from the business program at the University of Texas Pan American, Edinburg in 2017.

  • Dale & Laura LeMarr

    The LeMarr family has been a part of CFC since 1997. During that time they have served in many areas of ministry including Life Group leaders for 14 years, joined the Worship Team in 1998, and have been a part of Children's Ministry since 2003. Dale and Laura have always had a heart for kids and a desire to help them grow, learn, and be successful. To be able to teach Christ and how to live in His blessings everyday is a joy and privilege. Dale and his wife Laura are teachers with a combined experience of 50+ years. They have been married for 28 years and have 2 beautiful daughters.

  • Carl Lynn Johnson

    Carl started attending CFC when he was 12 years old. He has helped in the children's ministries and teenage ministries during all of those years. He is a graduate of Texas A&M and currently is working as a math teacher in the public school system.

  • Claria Buddle

    Claria grew up attending CFC watching her parents help in children’s ministry and being a part of the worship team. It was no surprise to them that she, too, would discover her own voice and passion to serve the Lord. When she is not leading others into worship, she helps mentor our youth. Claria enjoys listening to all kinds of music, playing the guitar, piano, ukelele and writing music. She loves being creative, traveling at home and abroad, reading good books and laughing with her family.

  • David & Sylvia Flores

    David and Sylvia have always had a passion for music and a desire to lead people into worship. In Sylvia's spare time, she loves writing songs and playing music on the piano. She currently attends the University of Texas at Brownsville where she is majoring in Music Education. In David's spare you can find him recording footage for his own Videography Business "Covenant Films" and for CFC. David and Sylvia both have a heart for service and fellowship here at CFC.
